From Dust – Eric Chahi’s next game

Eric Chahi is the man responsible for Another World. Now I don’t mean responsible as in “was the lead game desiger” or anything like that but responsible as in he developed the game by himself, from coding to box art. His next game (this time, working with a team) is called From Dust and is a take on the god simulator that Populus and Black and White made popular years ago with a twist of Pixeljunk Shooter (as in the elements react to each other). Looks great so far but it still has a long way to go as it will hit the PS3 and X-Box 360 sometime in 2011.

This all happened at the San Diego Comic Con: Joss Whedon was confirmed as the director, then they showed a teaser trailer (not online yet) that had a voice over by Samuel L. Jackson and then all of the cast appeared on stage. They’re listed after the jump, along with a short video of them.

Beastie Boys Sabotage – the Battlestar Galactica video

Battlestar Galactica and Beastie Boys? Never imagined these two together in the same conversation even. But some guy came up with the idea of recreating the Sabotage video using only BSG shots. Flairs – Truckers Delight best 8 bit video ever

As if the track didn’t have chip tunes itself, director Jérémie Perin treats us with this 8 bit era video orgy. Make no mistake about it, this blows Junior Senior’s “Move your feet” out of the water. The YouTube description reads: “Think Spielberg’s Duel + Russ Meyer’s Faster Pussycat Kill Kill! and Marc Dorcel’s wildest fantasies.” Could’t have said it better. As it contains lots of sex and pooping, it’s highly NSFW.

Star Trek Online new plot and back story video

There are 3 major upcoming “Star” MMOs: Star Trek Online, StarGate Worlds and my personal favorite Star Wars: The Old Republic (although I’d like to see a Starcraft one too).

This video from Cryptic has the developers talking about timeline, plot and, more importantly, has footage of space battles.
