Look, we’ve been crying for a Dungeon Keeper sequel for ages now and all EA’s doing is making a shitty MMO (might turn out good). So we should rejoice that kind Mr. Tomasz Lis has made the original game playable on current versions of Windows, right? Improved resolutions? What’s not to like? Well the thing is the game doesn’t need the old game installed so I’m not sure how legal this is.
It’s got fan favorites Gunther and Anna, takes place at the ‘Ton and has the same bad voice acting that Deus Ex is famous for. So it’s a perfect fit. Human Revolution can’t come soon enough.
You just need to add some of that Zimmer score to it. This little (it’s actually pretty huge) indie game is turning out to be quite the hit.
This time, he’s backed up by the singing viking fat lady.
From 1990 till 2010, here’s the history of PC gaming.

There are rumors as to the development of Duke Nukem Forever is continuing, under the studio that brought us Borderlands. Former 3D Realms (the previous developer, now gone) boss George Broussard, 2K and Gearbox declined to comment but Randy Pitchfork, head of Gearbox said that some news could come at this year’s PAX, in September. That’s September. What year? Who knows?!
Vodpod videos no longer available.
Eric Chahi is the man responsible for Another World. Now I don’t mean responsible as in “was the lead game desiger” or anything like that but responsible as in he developed the game by himself, from coding to box art. His next game (this time, working with a team) is called From Dust and is a take on the god simulator that Populus and Black and White made popular years ago with a twist of Pixeljunk Shooter (as in the elements react to each other). Looks great so far but it still has a long way to go as it will hit the PS3 and X-Box 360 sometime in 2011.
Blizzard just revealed a new profession for Diablo 3. The catch? It’s not a profession for the player but one for the NPCs. We will be able, just like with Cain in Diablo 2, to take certain NPCs with us on our journeys. These are not henchmen, as they will stay in town and, as the above video with the blacksmith shows us, will be able to manufacture certain items for us. Think of them as your personal shop. What I like most is how the stand changes when the blacksmith acquires a new level.
Yeah, take that Marvel with your stupid Avengers movie! Wait, what? But Superman and Batman are DC’s most important icons, are they nuts? So this supposedly would feature Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter, Aquaman, Green Lantern, and The Flash, with the focus being on the first three’s origins. That’s right. Aquaman.
Scott Bakula confirmed at the Quantum Leap panel at Comic Con (apparently it was pretty big, with 600 people attending it) that a movie based on the show is being made. That’s good news right? Well there are some bad news: the script is still being penned and Scott and co-star Dean Stockwell will be too old to reprise their roles but will have cameos in there, somewhere. But what about Ziggy?
… MW2. Only with editable kill-cams. Seriously, I know that probably developer Treyarch got orders straight from Kotick himself to copy/paste the multiplayer from Modern Warfare 2 but with Medal of Honor going for the title as well this fall, things suddenly don’t look so good for CoD. Bah, who am I kidding, it will still sell like hot cakes.
With Sam Jackson’s voice-over and all.
